Customer Payment Scam Alert .... Macon Water Authority is alerting customers about an ongoing bill payment scam. Scammers claim the President will pay customer's utility bills through a new federal stimulus program, and are asking customers to provide a social security number or bank account information. Please DO NOT give out personal information if contacted about this or similar offers. Instead, please call law enforcement. As a reminder, any Macon Water Authority employee who visits a customer's home or business will have official MWA identification. Customers can also verify an employee's identity or to verify suspicious activity, please contact our office.
