2022 Kids Fishing Derby, Part 2

The 16th Annual MWA Kids Fishing Derby was held on Saturday March 5, at Javors Lucas Lake. More than 350 people were in attendance, including 151 children and youth competing in the event. See photos of the winners of this year's Kids Fishing Derby.

Brian Hightower won the Biggest Catch of the Day at the 2022 MWA Kids Fishing Derby, reeling in a 2.75-pound catfish.

Abby Musselwhite (right) won the Age 3-5 Division, followed by Addie Snider (left) in second place.

Colt Phillips finished in third place in the Age 3-5 Division.

In addition to winning Biggest Catch of the Day, Brian Hightower (center) won the Age 6-9 Division, followed by Jordan Davis (left) in second and younger brother Noah Davis (right) in third.

Blake Mitchell (center) won first place in the Age 10-12 Division, followed by Jamie Levesque (left) in second and Ayanna Willis (right) in third.

Cameryn Pitts (center) won first place in the Age 13-17 Division, followed by Tray Shon (left) in second and Austin Hanks (right) in third.

Elizabeth Willis was the Grand Prize winner of the drawing for a rod and reel and deep fryer.

Joshua Weaver, MLF Professional Angler, was on hand to share his experiences with the Kids during the 2022 MWA Fishing Derby.
