Electrician and Instrumentation Tech


Job Summary: This role works with up to 12,470 volts. Duties include troubleshooting, making repairs, installation, etc. as needed by the MWA.

Essential Functions: • Performs electrical work required to maintain MWA facilities. • Performs hands-on electrical maintenance tasks and troubleshooting. • Builds up control panels. • Plans new installations, pulls wire and connects as appropriate. • Maintains SCADA. • Install and connect instrumentation and electrical components. • Calibrate electrical and instrument components and sensors. • 12 CEU Credits per year in the electrical and instrumentation area. • Housekeeping in all work areas. • Makes emergency calls and assists plant operations when called upon. • Performs other duties as assigned. •

Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent. • One to three years of relevant training or experience. • Electrical Maintenance Technician Certificate strongly preferred or equivalent experience. • Valid GA driver’s license with clean driving record.

Physical Requirements: • Frequent walking. • Frequently working over water, open spaces, at heights, and in close spaces. • Ability to carry 25 pounds up to 50 pounds and occasionally over 50 pounds. • Frequent standing, stooping and occasionally sitting, crawling, crouching, climbing, and balancing. • Ability to grasp and hold.

Salary: $21.00 - 32.00/hr
