MWA Chairman Sam Hart (left) presents Sheddrick Clark a Resolution, passed by the MWA Board of Directors, thanking him for his dedication and service to the Authority and its customers.

The MWA thanked Sheddrick Clark for his service as the District 2 MWA Board Member at the conclusion of his tenure on July 2.

Mr. Clark was appointed on Nov. 19, 2019, to serve in place of former Board Member Javors Lucas following his death and until the Special Election in June resulted in the election and swearing in of Merritt Johnson, III.

Mr. Clark is a native of Macon who has lived in Bibb County his entire life. He currently resides in Lizella. With 23 years of experience in the finance industry, including 15 years as a local business owner and entrepreneur, he is the owner of Clark Accounting Service and 9 Entertainment, which is a concert promotions and entertainment company. He also established 9 Foundation, Inc., his youth organization that works with young people, locally.

Mr. Clark, who received his bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of West Georgia, establishes and maintains inventory and accounting records for clients’ fixed assets, while overseeing monthly and annual financial closings.

Clark Accounting Service prepares payroll and tax reports for over 30 companies, while preparing personal tax returns for more than 150 individual clients as well.

In addition to owning and operating his local businesses, Mr. Clark has previous professional experience as the Vice President of Finance for Superior Education Services, and prior to that as the Executive Director of Finance for the Older Americans Council of Middle Georgia, Inc.

Mr. Clark’s civic and community interests include membership in the National Association of Black Accountants since 2009, and service as President of the 100 Black Men of Macon-Middle Georgia from 2012-2015. He also is a Lifetime Member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity. Mr. Clark served five years on the Macon Transit Authority Board, and he currently serves as a Board Member for the Community Foundation of Central Georgia.

At the July 2020 MWA Meeting, Chairman Sam Hart presented Mr. Clark with a Resolution passed in his honor, as well as a gift of appreciation, to thank him for his dedication and service to the Authority and its customers.

“It has been a pleasure working on the MWA Board and being able to serve the great citizens of District 2,” says Mr. Clark.
