Boil Water Advisory Lifted and Service Restored in Southeast Macon-Bibb County

(Macon, GA – Oct. 15, 2017 – 2:00 p.m.) The Macon Water Authority (MWA) has lifted its boil water advisory, which had been in effect for nearly three days for select customers in southeast Macon-Bibb County. Macon Water Authority has issued a boil water advisory as a precautionary measure to the following areas: Emery Highway from Commerce Drive; Jeffersonville Road; Irwington Road; Ocmulgee East Boulevard; Riggins Mill Road; and all adjoining streets to the Macon-Bibb county line. Macon Water Authority is aware of a service outage along the following roads: Emory Highway and Commerce Drive to Ocmulgee East Boulevard; up Riggins Mill Road to Ruark Road, and south Ocmulgee East Boulevard to south Hebert Smart Airport Drive. WATER OUTAGE- 12" Main Break in East Macon

Macon Water Authority is on site investigating a water main break in the East Macon area. The main break may affect water service around Emory Drive and Ocmulgee East in East Macon.
