Rena Self honored for 26 years of service

February 23, 2018 by Chris Wood, Ph.D.

During the Macon Water Authority (MWA) January Meeting, the Board of Directors honored one of the utility’s employees upon her retirement for diligently and faithfully rendering excellent service to the Authority and its customers.

Annice “Rena” Self, Accounts Payable Coordinator, served the MWA and its customers for 26 years, and during that time, she earned the respect and loyalty of her colleagues and the MWA Board, according to Authority officials.

Rena joined the MWA on Feb. 24, 1992, and retired on Dec. 29, 2017. As noted in the resolution passed unanimously by the Board to recognize her retirement, she conducted herself during her time as a water professional in a manner that reflected positively on the MWA.

Rena’s retirement resolution concluded by noting that the Members of the MWA Board express their sincere appreciation and deepest gratitude for her 26 years of dedicated and distinguished service to the Authority, its customers, and to the citizens of Macon and Bibb County.
