Sewer Use Rules

The Rules Governing the Use of Public Sewers set uniform requirements for all users of the MWA’s Publicly Owned Treatment Works (POTW), which consists of the wastewater collection system and water reclamation facilities.

These rules enable the MWA to comply with the provisions of the Clean Water Act, as well as other applicable federal and state requirements. They also provide for public health and welfare by regulating the quality of wastewater discharged into the Authority’s POTW.
