Routine Training Keeps MWA Crews Prepared to Serve the Community
Company News
At the Macon Water Authority, we know that well-trained employees are the key to reliable service and community trust. That’s why our crews regularly participate in hands-on training designed to strengthen safety practices, improve equipment upkeep, and sharpen field skills.
Most recently, MWA employees took part in a refresher course on the use and maintenance of vacuum trucks. These specialized vehicles play a vital role in protecting public health and the environment by cleaning sewer lines, clearing storm drains, and using high-pressure water to remove soil and debris.

Through real-world demonstrations, such as cleaning a sewer line and clearing a storm drain, our employees practiced the same tasks they perform across the community every day. The training emphasized safe operation, routine maintenance, and effective teamwork, ensuring that our crews are prepared for whatever challenges they face in the field.
By investing in continuous training, MWA is not only extending the life of its equipment but also delivering safer, more efficient service for the people of Macon-Bibb County.
