Water Operations

The MWA’s water operations division is responsible for our drinking water production and storage facilities. Among these facilities is the Frank C. Amerson, Jr. Water Treatment Plant, which is more commonly referred to as the Amerson Plant.

Our Amerson Plant is supplied by raw water from Javors Lucas Lake, which is our water storage reservoir, as well as supplemental water from the Ocmulgee River, as needed. The Amerson Plant also serves as an administrative facility for overseeing water operations, outdoor recreation, and emergency/after hours incidents and inquiries.
