Albert Billingslea Sign Installed on Second Street Side of MWA Headquarters
Company News
On Tuesday, May 20, the Macon Water Authority installed a new exterior sign bearing the name Albert Billingslea Building on the Second Street side of our downtown headquarters at 790 Second Street. This addition complements the existing signage already displayed at the Customer Service entrance and further honors the legacy of Albert Billingslea, a respected civic leader and former Bibb County Commissioner whose contributions were instrumental in shaping Macon’s water infrastructure.
The newly installed sign serves as a reminder of Billingslea’s vision, leadership, and dedication to public service. His efforts helped lay the foundation for the reservoir system that continues to serve the community today.
Employees and visitors can now see the tribute prominently displayed from both entrances of the building, reinforcing our appreciation for those who helped make the MWA what it is today.
