Macon’s annual river cleanup – Ocmulgee Alive! – will be held at various sites across the community on Saturday, Oct. 19, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Volunteers without a preassigned location can join us at the Spring Street boat ramp for cleanup along the Ocmulgee Heritage Trail.
Ocmulgee Alive is affiliated with the Georgia Rivers Alive program, which facilitates cleanups across the state targeting all bodies of water. This year marks the MWA’s 18th annual Ocmulgee Alive!
Participating organizations confirmed thus far for the 2024 Ocmulgee Alive include Keep-Macon Bibb Beautiful, YKK USA, Inc., Stratford Academy, and Mount de Sales Academy.
