Macon Water Authority Celebrated with Multiple Statewide Honors from GAWP

The Macon Water Authority (MWA) was recognized on a statewide level by the Georgia Association of Water Professionals (GAWP) in 2026, earning several prestigious awards that highlight the organization’s operational excellence and commitment to providing high-quality water services.
Three MWA team members received top individual honors in their respective fields:
Johnathan McNatt was named 2026 Top Water Operator of the Year, recognizing his outstanding


performance and dedication in water treatment operations.
Chad Willis earned the title of 2026 Top Distribution Operator of the Year, highlighting his expertise and leadership in maintaining and operating MWA’s water distribution system.
Jamie Josey was recognized as the 2026 Top Stormwater Operator of the Year, reflecting excellence in stormwater management and environmental stewardship.
In addition to these individual achievements, MWA also received the 2026 Georgia Drinking Water Taste Test District Champion award. This recognition is a testament to the high-quality drinking water produced by MWA’s treatment facilities and the team’s ongoing commitment to meeting and exceeding regulatory standards.
These honors from GAWP underscore the talent, professionalism, and dedication of MWA employees across multiple departments. From treatment and distribution to stormwater management, the Authority continues to demonstrate leadership within the water industry across Georgia.
