Macon Water Authority Earns Prestigious Awards for Excellence in Water and Wastewater Operations

Macon, GA –The Macon Water Authority (MWA) has been honored with two prestigious Platinum Awards at the Georgia Association of Water Professionals (GAWP) Fall Conference held in Jekyll Island, Georgia. These accolades recognize the MWA’s outstanding achievements in water distribution and wastewater collection system operations for 2024.

The Water Distribution System Excellence Award was presented to the MWA in recognition of its exceptional management and operation of the water distribution system. This award highlights the Authority’s commitment to delivering clean, safe, and reliable drinking water to its customers while adhering to the highest operational efficiency and environmental compliance standards.

The Wastewater Collection System Excellence Award recognizes the MWA’s exemplary performance in managing its wastewater collection system. This award underscores the Authority’s dedication to protecting public health and the environment by maintaining a reliable and efficient wastewater system that exceeds regulatory requirements.
