Macon, GA – The Macon Water Authority is delighted to announce the appointment of Jarad Zellner as the new Director of Water Treatment for the Amerson Water Treatment Plant. Zellner officially assumed his role on Monday, June 17, 2024, bringing a wealth of experience and expertise in the water treatment field.
With 22 years of experience in the water industry, Zellner has worked in various capacities, including operations, maintenance, and IT. He holds a current active Class I water license, showcasing his proficiency and qualifications in water treatment.
Zellner’s academic background is rooted in business administration and information technology, having earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Middle Georgia State University. His dedication to professional development is evident from his decade-long tenure as a water operator at the Macon Water Authority, where he started his career and deepened his understanding of the industry’s complexities.
Prior to rejoining the Macon Water Authority, Zellner served as the Assistant Superintendent for Water Treatment at another utility company. This role provided him with extensive knowledge and insights into the water treatment sector, solidifying his position as a leading figure in the field. His specialization in Information Technology further enhances his capabilities, enabling him to manage the evolving demands of the water treatment sector effectively.
