Volunteers Invited to Join the 20th Annual Ocmulgee Alive! River Cleanup
Community volunteers are invited to help protect one of Middle Georgia’s most valuable natural resources during the 20th Annual Ocmulgee Alive! river cleanup on Saturday, October 24, 2026.
The annual event, held in partnership with Georgia EPD’s Rivers Alive program, will take place from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Volunteers of all ages are welcome to participate in removing litter and debris from the Ocmulgee River and surrounding areas.
Volunteers who register by Wednesday, October 7, will receive a free event T-shirt. Cleanup locations will be assigned and provided to registered volunteers by email. Anyone who does not receive a pre-assigned location should report to the Spring Street boat ramp by 8:15 a.m. on the day of the event.
