Replacement of 12-in Valves Vineville Ave-Vista Cir

Description

The Project consists of replacing (2) Existing 12″ Gate Valves and Install (1) New 12″ Gate Valve on the 12” Cast Iron Public Water Mains at the intersection of Vineville Ave and Vista Circle.  Work includes Mill and Pave Asphalt in work area and 50 L.F. past in both directions, traffic control, after hours work, and Thermoplastic Striping Replacement.  This project is within State Route 19 therefore all work must follow GDOT Standards and Specifications.  All work must be conducted between 10:00 PM and 5:00 AM for night work (or between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM for day work, if necessary).  MWA will provide the 12″ gate valves, coordinate and execute the water main shut downs, and secure the GDOT Utilities permit in coordination with the contractor.  Please note: it is MWA’s understanding that there are old railroad tracks buried under the pavement of Vineville Ave in the vicinity of this project.  Any effects of the buried railroad tracks on this project are unknown.
